The famous nightclub is kicking off the season at it’s Manchester stronghold this month
To mark it’s 20th anniversary, Sankeys is re-opening it’s Manchester venue for the Autumn/Winter seasion on September 12th. The first wave of parties have been announced and there will be a number of weekly residencies including the return of Tribal Sessions, which is celebrating it’s 14th birthday with a weekend special in October. The season launch party featuring The Martinez Brothers takes place on Friday 12th September. Steve Lawler, Cassy, Axel Boman, Sasha & Jordan Peak are also billed to play at the venue this month.
Sankeys first opened in Manchester back in 1994 as Sankey’s Soap in a nod to the Beehive Mill venue’s past use as a soapworks. Owner David Vincent announced he was to close the venue indefinitely in the middle of last year to re-open again in December. With the club fully booked for the season, things are looking positive once again.
