In a new short film, Rollo Jackson, a director with a strong connection to the UK electronic music scene, celebrates club culture and some of the most prominent weekly residencies of recent years.
Following our in depth conversation with the man, he has just released a new 5 minute short for Dazed Digital which features commentary from Richard Russell, Benji B, Joe Goddard, Thristian BPM, Erol Alkan, Mark Ronson, Seb Chew and Lil Silva, who discuss prominent figures of the London scene such as DJ EZ and Slimzee, the Grime movement and staple weekly parties such as YoYo in Notting Hill, Trash at The End, FWD at Plastic People and Metalheadz at The Blue Note. Featuring live and rare footage, experts from newspapers, interviews and more, Rollo provides a brief insight into the musical landscape surrounding the capital in modern times.
