Berlin’s techno auteur set to handle the next release on Martyn’s label.
Martyn’s 3024 label continues to develop into one of our ‘must check’ labels, with its 17th release, and first of 2012, taking the form of two slabs of Detroit-inflected techno from Berlin’s Redshape.
Having previously remixed for the label (back in 2010 with his remix of Martyn’s own ‘Seventy Four’), the be-masked techno man turns in two cuts of sheer creeping techno business, with leading track ‘Throw In Dirt’ coming across like a re-upped stealth version of peak time Juan Atkins, whilst on the flip ‘The Land’ exorcises the oppressive A-sides demons with 8 minutes of off-key melodies and looped soul vocals.
Artwork comes, as standard, from label affiliate Erosie, which you can check below, along with the tracklist (release date still TBC).
