Record Store Day Special: Spargel Trax

This Saturday is not only Record Store Day, but it’s also the start of the British asparagus season. To mark and link the two dates, Don’t Be Afraid present the ingenious ‘Spargel Trax.’

Spargel, the German word for asparagus, is theme running through the various pseudonyms on the vinyl. A collection of globally-based house producers hide their identities behind monikers such as Herbaceous, Spargel-Tarzan, Lily and Slazenger’s People.

Vol.1 drops on Saturday, exclusively on hand-stamped white 12″, whilst the second volume will follow a month later following the seasonal trends, on green vinyl. Included will also be a set of recipes, in both English and German, all in some way using asparagus as an ingredient.

Look out for Spargel Trax Vol.1 in record shops participating in RSD, and for Vol.2 later in the season.
