Planet Mu have three strong releases lined up for the next two months, including an outstanding Kuedo single.
On top of the three-track Kuedo work, ‘Work, Live & Sleep In Collapsing Space,’ the label are preparing an EP from Protect-U, and the debut long player of Polysick.
Kuedo, aka Jamie Teasdale, is no stranger to Planet Mu. The label put out a string of his EPs before dropping his debut album ‘Severant’ late last year. This latest single is more of the same.
Pitched around epic chords, ‘Work, Live & Sleep In Collapsing Space’ is trademark Kuedo in its spacy, hip-hop style beats, atmospheric synths and absence of an obvious bassline. Together with classy remixes from Hyperdub releasee Laurel Halo and Claude Speeed, this is not a single to sleep on. Available on digital and vinyl from June 4.
The Polysick album, that comes out on June 18, is a fifteen-track work that blends influences from early techno and acid to disco. Entitled ‘Digital Native,’ this album immediately catches your attention in its intriguing production and mood.
Protect-U‘s EP will drop at the end of this month. Full of psychedelic rhythms and intricate patterns, ‘Motorbike’ is much more than standard dance music. Stream a preview below.
