The two Livity Sound bosses are behind the label’s first release of 2015.
Having spent last year releasing remixes of their work from the like of Surgeon, Tessela and Pangaea, it now appears that 2015 will see Bristol based label Livity Sound return to focusing on original material from its core trio. First up are Peverelist and Kowton, who will drop ‘Signal 3/Low Strobe’ – featuring typically vibrant artwork from former Back In The Day subject Tess Redburn, 16th March.
The tracks – which you can stream previews of below, are both taut exercises in mechanized tension with main room ambition. ‘Signal 3’ judders ferociously with the fury of a jet engine as a sinewy mess of frazzled bleeps whirr above, whilst ‘Low Strobe’ is a swirl of queasy FX, splashing hats and chest rattling sub.
‘Signal 3/Low Strobe’ is out 16th March on Livity Sound.
