London collective comm•une return to Dance Tunnel on Friday 21st August with three rising London talents.
Following on from an event that raised over £1000 for Youth Music, the next party acts as a Dimensions Festival warm-up of sorts, with comm•une producing the latest Dimension Festival Annual and hosting The Garden Stage on the Saturday night of the event. Having booked an array international artists over past 12 months, the focus is on homegrown talent this time round.
Nummer (London-based, French producers Silvère Letellier and Emmanuel Corre) are really building momentum in 2015. With releases on Peur Bleue, Going Good and their own Nummer Music already under their belt, the rest of 2015 will see them put out a four tracker on the excellent french label Fragil Musique, a remix for Linkwood on Firecracker and another EP for Nummer Music.
Born and raised in Iran, Kasra V has been an avid collector of middle eastern music since a tender age. Still in his early 20s and now living in London, the results of these cross pollinated experiences can be heard on his monthly ‘The Paradise Show‘ on NTS and also on 22Tracks, where he curates the ‘Balearic’ playlist. His debut release came out on Love In Public Spaces came out earlier this year.
Rounding things off is FYI Chris, who consist of two Chris’s – Chris Watson and Chris Coupe. Having been given their first run out on vinyl by the Church camp (via sub-label Church White), they now find their latest home on Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section with ‘Back in the Millennium’ and also feature on CDR’s ‘Dimensions Sound 2015’ alongside K15. They also both helped to set up and work at Peckham’s Rye Wax record shop only furthers the extent and variety of their DJing abilities.
