Glasgow-based collective Numbers look set to continue their summer takeover, as they release Italian producer Lory D’s latest slab of heaving techno, ‘Strange Days Vol.1’.
The label hasn’t let up once in the past 12 months, releasing future-classic after future classic and soundtracking the continued development of UK club music in the process. This month alone sees the label head up the latest fabriclive Cd, as label boss Jackmaster takes to the reigns for ‘fabriclive57’, and release a trio of tracks taking in Redinho’s ‘Edge Off EP’, Deadboy’s all conquering ‘HERE’ and Lory D’s ‘Strange Days Vol. 1’
The enigmatic Italian has been responsible for a slew of recent releases on the (Numbers pre-cursor) Wireblock, and has a history in dance music leasding back to the late eighties, having helped introduce acts like Ritchie Hawtin, Underground Resistance, LFO and their darkly beautiful take on techno to the world.
The 2 track release takes in an unrelenting acid sound that is equal parts classic techno and straight up body music from the future. Preview it below.
‘Strange Days Vol. 1’ is released on May 23.
