From Plastic People to Cable, the last few years have seen an alarming number of clubs disappearing from the city.
Now with Ministry of Sound, the Coronet, Electrowerkz and the Bussey Building all recently threatened with closure, it’s clear that something has to be done to protect London’s venues.
The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) is hosting a discussion at Mother Agency on 26 Nov, titled ‘What Kind of Night Time Economy Champion Do We Want for London?’
The event should provide an opportunity for interested parties to raise any questions/issues over the proposed London Night Mayor position, as part of the NTIA’s dialogue with the Mayor’s office.
The evening’s guests include Mirik Milan, Night Time Mayor of Amsterdam, and Lutz Leichesenring of the Berlin Club Commission. Both cities have considerably enhanced their cultural and brand value through recognising and harnessing the value of night time industries.
There’s a cap on the event, so if you’re interested in attending, RSVP is: firstname.lastname@example.org
NTIA’s discussion evening is @ Mother Agency, Thurs 26 Nov, 6:30pm.
