Bristol duo Behling & Simpson line up an Apple Pips 12″.
One of Bristol’s many talented acts, Behling & Simpson, are next up for Appleblim‘s label, Apple Pips. The originally 140bpm-focused label has so far seen releases by the boss himself, Martyn, Instra:Mental, Brackles, Trevino, Joe, Arkist, Peverelist and Ramadanman, amongst others.
Behling & Simpson‘s latest effort shows just how much the label has evolved. It has, unsurprisingly, followed the progression of Appleblim from dubstep towards skewed house and techno. ‘Where The Oh’s’/’Tape Hiss’ is a slow-burning, brooding house record – not to dissimilar from the anthemic ‘Work That Body’ alongside James Fox – picking up the early support of Jackmaster, Mary Anne Hobbes, Dark Sky, Om Unit, Midland, Eats Everything and Hackman.
