Vinyl Virus is a new guide to independent record stores

Vinyl Virus was born out of the feeling that there was a tangible dimension missing when it came to discovering and supporting independent record stores.

More than just a simple list of addresses and starred reviews, the printed city guide aims to deliver exciting content such as a fold-away map and interviews with store owners, artists and vinyl collectors.

Starting off in London’s Soho, the bi-monthly publication will then travel North, South, East and West before compiling all five editions as The Independent Record Store Guide of London. After that, the plan is to take the idea worldwide.

The Soho issue will be a limited release of just 1000 individually numbered A5 copies, distributed for free across the area.

Check out their Kickstarter, where they’re trying to raise money to cover the print costs of the first two issues – they’ve already raised over £800 in just three days. Pledgers will have copies of the guide sent directly to them.
