The former Streets star is heading to Peckham this Friday with a killer line up.
His classic run of albums during the noughties saw him nominated for a Mercury whilst becoming the voice of a generation, but recent years have seen Mike Skinner return to club land as a DJ, whilst also starting his own club night and a record label. Its as a selector that he’s set to top the bill at the Desperados Next Level party this Friday, with South East London’s Bussey Building being turned into a labyrinth of “secret doors and rooms filled with surprises and challenges”, which promise to set the scene for, “a night of exploration and discovery which will see them break through walls to seek out the next level”.
In charge of curating the line up, Skinner has chosen a diverse array of acts from across the musical spectrum. Grime is represented by the likes of P Money, Preditah and Mumdance, whilst Deadboy and LV featuring Joshua Idehen look set to bring funkier flavours. With the bill also set to feature breakbeat heroes Stanton Warriors and UKG legends Oxide and Neutrino, the night looks set to take full advantage of Bussey Building’s many levels with a bit of everything.
