The ex-Vigro Four member has launched a crowd funding campaign to reissue his self-released ‘Merle 2000’ EP
As a result of multiple e-mail requests, Chicago House veteran and ex-Virgo Four member Merwyn Sanders also known as “Ace & the Sandman”, “M.E.” and “Merle” has launched a crowd-funding campaign to reissue his self-released ‘Merle 2000′ EP from the same year.
The Kickstarter project’s main goal is to raise $3800 to cover production costs, which includes an album jacket design which will include contributors names in the credits, Mixing, Remastering, Vinyl pressing of at least 150 gram vinyl, digital download cards and shipping.
Sanders’ has said that his ultimate goal is “to raise more than the $3800 goal to produce and press a single titled “Cocoon” with Lois Duplessis, a singer/songwriter and member of Israel Houghton’s group ‘New Breed’ with remixes by Maurice Joshua and Joe Smooth, and also a follow-up album of 8-12 tracks.” If the campaign is fulfilled, the record will ship on the first week of October.
Sanders split from Virgo Four in 2011 and is focused on a solo production career today. He released a collaborative EP ‘Cloud Eaters’ with Inkswel in January.
