Martyn Reissues Spaceape Collaboration

The cult classic has been re-released with a brand new track.

First released in 2009 on his debut album ‘Great Lengths’, ‘Is This Insanity?’ was Martyn’s first collaboration with his, “great friend Stephen Gordon a.k.a – The Spaceape”. Following the latter’s tragic and untimely passing in the second half of 2014, the Dutch producer has decided to reissue the track as part of his 3024 label’s KJL Series – with previous releases in the run including a repress of ‘Vancouver’ and his and Steffi’s ‘Fonts For The People’. The original track features the late Gordon’s baritoned ruminations on his then recent fatherhood and, “the rollercoaster of emotions one goes through taking care of a new life”, as he ponders the significance of the title.

The repress features Techno overlord Ben Klock’s pounding 2010 remix (below) – which has long been sould out, as well as a black stamped b-side (in memoriam to Gordon), featuring the previously unreleased track ‘Camberwell Green’.

‘Is This Insanity?’ is out on 12″ White Label via 3024’s KJL series 26th January.
