Diplo and Switch’s Major Lazer show returns to the Notting Hill Carnival for a fourth year, joined by the usual host of quality performers, and a good few hundred sunburnt Londoners.
The super-producer duo will doubtless be damaging ear drums and airing tracks from their forthcoming second album, whilst 502 Recordings and Numbers are both represented with a back-to-back set from Oneman and Jackmaster.
A current who’s who of bass music selectors and producers make up the rest of the line-up Dillon Francis does his thing alongside Brodinski, plus Mad Decent affiliates Lunice and Kito, plus some “very special secret guests” (last year it was none other than Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry). One of the more intriguing guests is bound to be Miami’s Black Chiney, the Chinese Jamaican soundsystem, and one time Poison Dart members renowned for their mix of booty bass, hip-hop and dancehall.
