Kutmah’s IZWID Celebrates Birthday With Free Downloads

The label’s first anniversary is being commemorated with limited availability downloads of its whole back catalogue.

Launched last year at Los Angeles’ legendary beats party Low End Theory, IZWID has enjoyed a sterling twelve months since then under the leadership of NTS’ resident beat freak Kutmah. Starting off a with the dubby and hypnotic self titled debut from Oxnard, California’s Esgar, the label has gone on to put out varied, experimental collections from Hyp Mix contributors Seven Davis Jr and Al Dobson Jr – all on vinyl, with artwork from Kutmah himself.

Now a year on from Esgar’s debut, IZWID are giving away all of their releases for free for today only. Over on the label’s Bandcamp are all the aforementioned releases, in addition to Al Dobson Jr’s sullen and jazzy ‘Another Soul (Pimp Down)’ and SDJ’s lo-fi cover of Prince’s ‘Controversy’. Stream the former below, before heading over and snapping up this smorgasboard of free music.
