The long-awaited release of ‘Badman VIP’ comes via Kryptic Minds’ new four-track EP on March 18.
Osiris has long been an output for many of their own productions, as well as those of Icicle, Youngsta, Biome, Killawatt and more. It has followed the trends of their own production, evolving through both dubstep and drum & bass, and always characterised by low-end emphasis, wide sound design and murky atmospherics.
This EP begins with two meditative rollers ‘Nebula’ and ‘To Feel’, that pack all the power of the flipside, but deliver it in a more stuttered and exploratory fashion. ‘Badman VIP’ opens the B-side with its now-famed vocal and continues in more straight-forward, breakdown/drop manner. Together with the sub-sonic mechanics of title-track and closer, ‘Namaste’, it makes for a serious club weapon from one of best the outfits in dubstep.
‘Badman’ originally followed their debut album on Swamp81, whilst Loefah‘s label were still championing the sound he made his name with. The VIP has been in high-demand ever since and adds another dimension to already quality new EP. Pre-order here.
