Dusk and Blackdown’s influential label touches down in Room 3 at Fabric tonight to mark the release of ‘This Is How We Roll’.
Since its inception in 2005 Keysound Recordings has carved a name for itself as one of the go-to labels for forward thinking low end sounds. Run by the equally influential producers Dusk and Blackdown, the label’s extensive back catalogue has seen releases from scene heroes Geeneus, Skream and Burial, through to today’s tastemakers such as Beneath, Kowton and Wen. Tonight they take over Room 3 of Fabric to mark the release of the new compilation ‘This Is How We Roll’ – a 14-track collection of intrepid 130bpm grime excursions from the frontline of today’s production talent. A full stream of the compilation is available here through Resident Advisor, and you can watch the video for the Mumdance and Logos cut ‘In Reverse’ below. Grab a copy of the release here.
Repping Keysound at Fabric will be label bosses Dusk and Blackdown, alongside Wen and Double Helix, plus a back-to-back from Mumdance and Logos – you can read an interview with Mumdance here. Head to the Fabric site for full event info.
The label has also announced a follow up to last year’s ‘Keysound Allstars Volume 1’, the meeting of the minds of Walton, Gremino, Visionist, and Vibezin. Released on May 27th, ‘Keysound Allstars Volume 2’ EP sees a return from Walton and Visionist, with the addition of producers Etch and Fresh Paul, and promises to continue the first edition’s examination of futuristic grime and garage sonics.
