The artists have their way with the Sushi Sequencer for Red Bull Music Academy
In case you weren’t aware to 2014 Red Bull Music Academy in ongoing Tokyo. In a celebration of Japan’s many artistic practices, RBMA have released two videos which bring together Sushi and music technology. The idea behind the laughable concept is to make a sushi conveyor belt a playable sequencer.
The results in the video are tongue-in-cheek but the technology behind it is anything but. Helped along by a team from Native Instruments, Past Academy attendees Just Blaze and TOKiMONSTA synced music to coloured plates on the restaurants conveyor belt.
