JD Twitch Shares David Bowie Tribute Mix

One half of Optimo shares a beautiful hour-long mix in tribute to the late David Bowie.

JD Twitch – one half of Glasgow duo Optimo – has shared a mix dedicated to iconic British artist David Bowie, who died January 10 2016 after an 18-month battle with cancer. Bowie passed away just two days after the release of his new album, Blackstar.

The mix, titled ‘Strung out on lasers and slash back blazers Bowie mix’, was uploaded today to JD Twitch’s Mixcloud and includes digital remasters of Bowie’s 1973 remake of The McCoys’ ‘Sorrow’, and 1972’s ‘Suffragette City’, which featured on ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’.

Other tributes have been pouring in from a range of artists who’ve been influenced by Bowie, with the likes of Tricky, Fabio, Carl Craig and Goldie all offering their words and memories.

JD Twitch simply wrote: “Unable to do anything else today, I did this. One hour of Bowie songs I have played in discotheques over the years.”
