The Norwegian experimental Jazz outfit are headlining the North London venue this Saturday.
Rising to prominence in this country when the BBC named their second album, ‘A Livingroom Hush’, the Jazz album of the year for 2002, nine piece outfit Jaga Jazzist have gone on to become cult heroes of sorts. Formed in 1994 by brothers Lars and Martin Hortveth, the group have gone on to release six albums – with the most recent coming last year’s live album with English orchestra Britten Sinfonia on Ninja Tune.
This Saturday, to celebrate their 20th anniverary, the group will be headlining London’s unique Union Chapel venue for Soundcrash. They will be joined on the night by label mate Dorian Concept – who will be bringing the special live show for his excellent ‘Joined Ends’ album.
Jaga Jazzist and Dorian Concept play Union Chapel this Saturday 29th November. Buy tickets here.
