Ital Tek To Release On Civil Music, Throwing Snow And Deft To Remix

Long-time Planet Mu associate Ital Tek signs new ‘Hyper Real’ EP to Civil Music.

Over five years since his debut on Planet Mu, Ital Tek‘s sound has developed through electronica, glitch, dubstep and more, into a clear and carefully honed UK-take on juke. Working diverse influences and elements of other genres into a 160BPM framework, Alan Myson’s latest effort is some of his most refined to date. The ‘Hyper Real’ EP sits on the verge club music, not overtly lending itself to either a dancefloor context or otherwise, but creating atmospheres deep enough to equally suit the two.

With Throwing Snow and Deft involved, Civil Music bring together a winning combination of like-minded producers that mirror precisely the label’s artistic direction. Throwing Snow adds atmosphere to ‘The Flood’ in a typically unpredictable edit, and recent subject of our YouTube Sessions, Deft, emphasises a synth stab of ‘Hyper Real’ over skipping percussion in the EP’s most potent dancefloor weapon.
