Independent Label Market Returns To London

Returning for its fifth year, the Independent Label Market is at Old Spitalfields Market once again this Saturday.

The market, which has also appeared in Los Angeles and Toronto, finds the bosses of more than 50 of Britain’s top independent record labels congregating to personally sell records to the public. Supported by the AIM (the Association of Independent Music), Independent Label Market welcomes returning labels such as Domino, Bella Union and XL alongside newcomers like 4AD, Huntley and Palmers and Houndstooth.

This year sees Independent Label Market partnering with The Vinyl Factory, in order to press 10 exclusive records that will only be available on the day with all proceeds being donated to Oxfam’s Syria Crisis AA. Featuring in this ultra limited series is a once in a blue moon outing from Swamp 81‘s Loefah, which comes backed with remixes from Liquid Liquid, Four Tet and Factory Floor.

For a small taste of what music to expect on offer at the market, check out the mix below, featuring Snow Ghosts, Boddika, Raffertie and more. Full details of the event meanwhile, can be found here.
