This Autumn, Hyponik will be heading to Africa to undertake a 9 day walk up Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Scaling the extinct volcanoe that is Kilimanjaro will take place with the help of Jagged Globe, a renowned outift of mountaineering guides, who’ll be ensuring Hyponik reaches the summit.
Starting off on September 17th, in a group of 12 we will first head to Mount Meru for acclimatization. After Meru, we’ll head back to camp at Moshi, where we’ll prep for our first day on Kilimanjaro, and the following ascent to the 5,895 peak (19,341 feet above sea level).
Hyponik be holding a fundraising event with some of the finest cutting edge names in bass and electronics on the 11th of August at The Nest in East London (more to follow on that), but at the moment you can head over to our Just Giving page to donate.
The Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the UK’s leading cancer support charities, improving the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
97% of Macmillan’s total income comes from donations, so every penny counts – we’re aiming to raise around £3,000 – but with your help we could really boost this total.
