We return to the fray with two of electro’s finest, plus the best in footwork, UK house and more.
On Saturday 21st April, we take to London’s Corsica Studios to host our next party, this time in conjunction with one of South London’s premier promoter/label crews, Wavey Tones.
It’s been a while since we put on our promoters cap, with the last party we hosted being our December fundraiser for Shelter, but this time round we’re hosting one of our biggest ever line-ups, with a set of artists that celebrates two of electronic musics true visionaries.
Fronting the bill is the crowned king of the Roland TR-808 drum machine, LA’s Egyptian Lover, who’s visionary dedication to electronic music over three decades continues to inspire some of our best new producers. He’ll be playing an exclusive live set incorporating live vocals, a live performance and a DJ set.
Taking the controls in Room Two will be the Drexciyan selector extraordinaire DJ Stingray. A true Detroit legend whose formative years spent playing alongside Jame Stinson and Gerald Donald’s Drexciya outfit and Moodymann, as well as his productions as Urban Tribe and Stingray313, means what this man doesn’t know about the Motor City sound isn’t worth hearing.
The two headliners will be joined by Chicago’s footwork kingpins Rashad & Spinn, Civil Music and Dream Continuum man Om Unit, Glasgow’s Drums of Death (DJ set), electroid soul man Brassica performing live, Slackk’s superb juke/r’n’b side project Patrice & Friends new shcool techno/electro man South London Ordnance, plus a very special secret guest, that we’re yet to announce.
We like to think not bad eh all in all. £5 and £8 tickets have already sold out, but you can grab £10 tickets from here, and be on the look out for some exclusive content, which this way comes.
