A one-off event of electronic music and AV experiments will board the MS Stubnitz on May 6th.
The decommissioned German fishing vessel MS Stubnitz has been intermittently moored in East London since its brief appearance at Bloc last July. In the time since it has hosted an assortment of club nights, installations and performers keen to take advantage of its unique aesthetics and acoustics. The boat sets sail for new waters at the end of May, but before that it plays host to Hydracoustics, a showcase selection of leading electronic musicians and AV artists.
The event features a rare live performance from seminal Geordie experimentalists zoviet*france:, a collaborative project from Scottish techno artists Patrick Walker and Ruaridh Law aka Forward Strategy Group and TVO, plus live performances from Alter Records boss and PAN affiliate Helm, and ex-Vex’d noisemonger Roly Porter alongside visual artist Rod Maclachlan.
Kicking off at 2pm Hydracoustics will feature a variety of installations, screenings and DJs throughout the day, with live performances running from 8pm through till 11.30pm.
