Locked Groove - Rooted

Hotflush Recordings Present the Debut 12″ from Locked Groove

Hotflush Recordings roll into 2012 with a debut release from Belgium’s Locked Groove.

Paul Rose’s all conquering Hotflush Recordings continue their punishing release schedule in 2012, with the debut release from newcomer Locked Groove.

Hailing from Belgium, Locked Groove, aka Tim Van de Meutter was originally scouted by label head Scuba for the inclusion of ‘Drowning’ on his recent contribution to the DJ Kick’s series, and for this debut release on his label.

Released on January 9, ‘Rooted’ represents everything that is good about the former dubstep label, mixing up Berlin techno, deep house, garage and bass to startling affect, with the title track taking in an acid lean, ‘Drowning’ taking the shape of a pure Berghain floor filler, and the subtle ‘Change’ rounding things off nicely with warm pads and a deep techno lean.

You can listen to ‘Drowning’ – taken from Scuba’s DJKicks – below, and also check out the full tracklist and artwork.
