Hessle Audio To Release Double Disc Compilation

Electronic favourites Hessle Audio are set to release a double disc compilation featuring the likes of James Blake, Pangaea, Addison Groove and Ramadanman.

The label will drop the project titled ‘116 & Rising’ on May 16th, which also features a selection of tracks that stray from their usual 140bpm mainstay. Ramadanman, one of Hessle’s co-founders recently released a mix on the Fabriclive imprint to much praise and features prominently on the upcoming compilation.

Label head Ben UFO recently told FACT, “There’s been a lot of them (compilations) recently, which made us cautious going into it. We felt though that we had a back catalogue big enough, and a roster of producers diverse enough, to justify a bigger project. …it’s just an interesting way to experiment with a different format, and to try to reach out to an audience who may not be going to record shops buying singles every week, without alienating those who do.”

The ‘116 & Rising’ launch party is at XOYO on May 13th, with sets from several of Hessle’s main artists, for further information and tickets visit the official XOYO website.
