Two of UK bass music’s best new imprints have teamed up for a free EP, highlighting two fresh talents that are set to make waves in 2011.
Grizzly and Local Action Records, the rising labels of Sinden and FACT’s Tom Lea respectively, team up on this digital release, which offers lovers of the constantly evolving bass sound two variants on the current ‘anything goes’ mix of garage, juke, bass and house currently smashing dancefloors on both sides of the Atlantic.
New York’s Contakt and Liverpool’s Melé take a side each, with the former remixing the latter’s stone-cold house banger into something altogether different, whilst Melé’s take on the NY resident’s ‘Rhodophyta’ brings some high-octane madness to proceedings.
Watch out for more house action from the Local Action crew as they have none other than Paul Woolford remixing recent smash T. Williams smash ‘Heartbeat’, whilst Sinden’s Grizzly is set to follow up the success of SBTRKT’s ‘Seekwal’ in just a few weeks.
