Convergence 2016 continues with a psychedelic double header from the LA artist.
The music/art/technology festival may be drawing to a close this weekend, but there’s still a couple of special performances on the schedule.
Tonight (18th March), Village Underground provides two separate chances to catch The Gaslamp Killer doing his thing. The early show is a live band show – billed as The Gaslamp Killer Experience – that brings together all his many musical talents into one ferocious performance, with one of the best rhythm sections on the circuit.
That’s followed by a club show which runs until 4am, where you’ll get to experience one of GLK’s famously wild DJ sets. He’s known for hyping the crowd up and exhibiting some serious energy behind the decks – no moody head-nodding here.
Oh, and the support is pretty great – fellow LA beatmaker Kutmah, Israeli trip hop trio Buttering Toast, and Brixton boy Gaika’s twisted experimental take on grime/dancehall/R&B. Gaika recently turned in this amazing mix for oki-ni if you need something to get yourself in the mood.
You can grab individual early/late show tickets and combo tickets right here.
