The benefit will feature Pearson Sound, Benga, Loefah and more.
Having been hospitalised at Sheffield’s Northern General over the past four months in the wait for a liver transplant, a charity benefit has been organised for acclaimed music photographer Shaun Bloodworth. He’s also suffered an infection that has led to his lower leg being amputated, and it’s critical that he receives a new liver soon.
Shaun has been responsible for some of the most important photography surrounding UK club culture in the past decade, most notably his tireless documentation of London’s dubstep scene. As a visual artist he’s also had an instrumental part in the visual aspect of Rinse FM’s transformation from pirate radio to legal station.
In light of his huge contributions to UK music culture, and the financial impact the long-term hospitalisation has had on Shaun and his family, Mary Anne Hobbs has organised a charity benefit at XOYO in association with Rinse FM. It will feature the likes of Geeneus, Plastician, Youngsta, Illum Sphere, Alexander Nut, and many more.
#RaveForShaun takes place on 15th September at XOYO, buy your tickets for the event here. All proceeds from the event will go to Shaun Bloodworth and his family, as well as a donation to Live Life, Give Life – an organ donor charity. You can donate to Shaun directly here.
