Boxfresh continue their 25th birthday events with Fresh Out Of The Box, a celebration of street culture featuring Goldie, Fatima and Lil Silva.
On Saturday 17th May, Boxfresh will celebrate their 25 anniversary in East London. As well as a range of lectures and workshops, Fresh Out The Box will include live performances from Fatima and The Eglo Band, Lil Silva, One-Handed Music’s Mo Kolours and soulful dance-music duo Anushka.
This unmissable event features figures who have influenced, sustained and strengthened street culture imparting wisdom. Making his name in the 80s through graffiti, Drums and Bass savant Goldie (pictured above) will present a lecture on graffiti art. The event will also feature a street fashion panel discussion, which includes Nigerian British fashion designer Walé Adeyemi (MBE), credited for his iconic ‘Graffiti Collection’. London Ink tattooer Nikole Lowe will host a tattoo design workshop, and following his successful and encapsulating UKG series, Ewen Spencer will be presenting a lecture on photography (see our recent interview with Spencer here). Celebratory and informative, Fresh Out The Box covers all aspects of street culture. With free daytime events and only £5 for the after-party the event guarantees to attract creatives of all types.
