Fatima Al Qadiri & Laurel Halo Hit Village Underground

Two of Hyperdub’s leading ladies are the special guests at the East London club this Thursday

Fatima Al Qadiri & Laurel Halo will join Italian artists Vaghe Stelle & Ninos Du Brasil as the special guests at a showcase dedicated to new Italian musical creativity at Village Underground this Thursday.

Kuwaitian artist and composer, Al Qadiri released her first full length LP ‘Asiatisch’ on Hyperdub Records to critical acclaim earlier this year. She will headline the bill alongside her Berlin-based label mate Laurel Halo, author of an unpredictable mixture of hardware pulse, ambient and sampling sounds.

Representing Italy is Turin-based producer Daniele Mana aka Vaghe Stelle (Astro:Dynamics), with his unique blend of pneumatic grime and R&B, and performing artist Nico Vascellari’s noise-batucada outfit Ninos Du Brasil (Hospital Productions).

The event,is the third London instalment of The Italian New Wave a collaborative partnership event between Italian promoters Alfa MiTo Club To Club and London’s own Field Day. The showcase foreruns the main Italian festival The London showcase foreruns the main C2C festival in Turin, Italy, which takes place between the 5th-9th November.
