A new streaming playlist, selected by London super club Fabric, has been made available on the website 22 tracks.
Consisting unsurprisingly of 22 tracks, the playlist features music from artists who will be appearing at the club’s recently announced FABRICLIVE winter season between October and December. Contributions come from Four Tet ( who will be playing a unique Room 1 takeover October 4th ), Om Unit and Lil Silva featuring Sampha amongst others. Intriguingly Special Request ( Paul Woolford‘s lauded jungle alias) features with ‘Undead’, a so far unheard track from his much anticipated album, which is due next month on Fabric’s offshoot label Houndstooth. Equipped with the now customary blend of scatty breaks and whirring sirens, ‘Undead’ also interestingly features flourishes of minor key cascading rave keys, hinting at an as yet unexplored side to the Special Request project. Also included is Houndstooth’s Call Super with ‘Informer’, a track we recently reviewed on the site.
22 Tracks is a project which is aimed at ‘curating’ new music, through its online jukebox which features selections of playlists compiled by DJ’s from Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and London. Regular selectors of the ‘London’ playlists include Secretsundaze founders Giles Smith and James Priestley, Radio 1 resident Mosca and Grime ambassador’s and Butterz heads Elijiah & Skiiliam.
