On Friday April 2 at Electric Brixton, Soundcrash will present a night of drum and bass with two of the greats, DJ Marky & LTJ Bukem.
Residing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, DJ Marky first grabbed the attention of Goldie and DJ Hype in 1999, quickly earned the praise of “best new DJ” from critics, and has since released two critically acclaimed albums, In Rotation and Influences. As well as headlining Lovebox and acting as special guest of Notting Hill Carnival, Marky has kept up the momentum through countless features on radio, and soundtrack work on video game Fifa Street.
Also headlining will be drum and bass innovator LTJ Bukem. The Good Looking Records owner is a pioneer of the scene, fashioning a style that incorporated rare-groove and jazz influences into the traditional D&B sound. Along with his production, Bukem ran the legendary Speed club night with Fabio, and continues to DJ extensively across the globe.
The night will be hosted by legendary MCs Dynamite and Stamina, along with a classic drum and bass set from Tom Central, with special guests still to be announced.
