Dj Harvey, Caribou, Kode 9 & Actress Storm Bristol

These are just some of the names on the bill for Simple Things this weekend

The festival curated by Crack Magazine will celebrate it’s fourth edition at multiple venues scattered across Bristol’s centre this weekend. Caribou and Jessie Lanza will inaugurate proceedings with live performances at the esteemed Motion Skate Park on Friday night. Dj Harvey tops the bill on Saturday bringing his UK road trip with Red Bull Music Academy to an end. Harvey has announced that this will be the last time he’ll perform on home soil for quite some time.

Dj Nature, Dark Sky, Seven Davis Jr, SOPHIE and Rejjie Snow will accompany Harvey at the RBMA showcase at Firestation while Hyperdub, L.I.E.S., and Stamp The Wax will each curate a room at Lakota. The stunning collective line-up includes Kode 9, Laurel Halo, Cooly G, Scratcha DVA, Ron Morelli, Svengalisghost, Terekke and Damiano Von Eckert.

Dj SprinklesMax Graef, Zomby, Actress and Happa, will take over Coroners Court alongside for a two-roomer showdown. Some of the other acts billed include The Haxan Cloak, Mogwai, How To Dress Well, Death From Above 1979, Onra, Nightmares On Wax and Liars. Dj October and Turbowolf will provide some local fanfare. Music will commence at midday on Saturday and continue until 5AM.
