Croatian festival Dimensions have released a slew of names set to play at their third edition this August.
Swapping places in the calendar with sister festival Outlook this year, the annual jaunt to the Croatian coastal fort of Punta Christo will take place 27th-31st August. Leading this way year are Dan Snaith’s Caribou, jazz fusion legend Roy Ayers, Mercury nominated producer Jon Hopkins, Detroit supergroup Underground Resistance and recent YouTube Sessions contributor Gilles Peterson. Clearly popular with DJ’s, many of the artists announced are returning for the second or in some cases third time, including Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Floating Points and Blawan. Other highlights come in the form of South African band John Wizards, Hyperdub signed chanteuse Jessy Lanza, Juan Atkins and Moritz Von Ozwald as Borderland, and Metalheadz head honcho Goldie.
Following on from last year’s opening concert in nearby Pula’s Roman amphitheatre, this year the festival will kick off with live performances from Caribou, Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington’s Darkside project, and Erased Tapes boss Nils Frahm. On sale now, tickets for the festival can be bought here, where you can also find more info on the festival in general.
