Deviation Carnival Double Header With Zinc, Kode9, Waajeed, Benji B & More

Benji B’s ongoing exploration of the deeper spectrum of electronic music continues at Carnival this year, as he hosts two parties in London.

The Radio 1 star will takeover The Camp in Shoreditch for his Deviation Carnival Session East on Sunday August 28 with a sterling line-up of local talent including Kode9, Wookie, Waajeed, Dego and Moxie playing an assortment of hip-hop, jungle, garage and Carnival-themed sets (anyone who’s caught one of Kode9’s UKG-to-jungle sets in the past knows these sorts of things aren’t to be missed).

The following day the Deviation crew will be setting up shop over in the heart of Carnival with a show at Paradise, where they’ll be joined by garage legend DJ EZ, breakbeat garage/crack house pioneer Zinc (playing a back to ’96 jungle set no less), heavyweight UK funky figure Lil Silva, UK house lynchpin Phil Asher, r’n’b hustler Ronnie Herel and Eglo Records bossman Alexander Nut. Upstairs you’ll have none other than Scratha DVA and Semtex joined by residents Moxie and Josey Rebelle

Tickets are priced at £10, and you can find more info here.
