Details Of Tessela’s Debut On R&S Announced

Details of Tessela’s debut EP on R&S have been announced.

Entitled ‘Nancy’s Pantry’, the release will contain three tracks and set for a release on October 7th. The news marks a big step forward in Tessela’s ( real name Ed Russell ) career as he joins his brother Tom ( aka. Truss/MPIA3 ) at the seminal Belgian label on which he first appeared as a remixer for Alex Smoke’s recent release. Russell has been winning fans for the last two years for his energetic blends of Jungle, Techno and Bass, with ‘Hackney Parrot’ ( which can be heard below ) a bona fide underground smash.

‘Nancy’s Pantry’ is set to seemingly continue in the much the same manner as Russell’s previous work, with the title track apparently a ‘thundering techno’ number supplemented by a cut up break. Meanwhile ‘Horizon’ features ‘repeating chords that recall the heady days of rave’, whilst ‘Gateway’ is based in ‘sub bass, siren-like synths and quaking kick drums.’
