Cosmic Bridge Presents: Om Unit vs Kromestar

Cosmic Bridge is the new imprint from London-based dj and producer Om Unit. Cosmic Bridge charge into 2011 with a massive collaboration from label boss Om Unit, and original dubstep don Kromestar.

The alliance was formed after Om Unit heard new Kromestar dubs being played on Rinse FM via Jay 5ive’s Sunday evening show with G Double; with the pair consequently exchanging various new material. This casual tit-for-tat has flourished into something more profound; Cosmic Bridge’s debut release in the form of a joint 12″ and digital release.

In Om Units words “I took this collaboration as a green light to start my own imprint for side projects to my own stuff – the name speaks for itself”. The forthcoming release has already enjoyed support from an assortment of bass-stalwarts including Pinch, Kutmah, Joker, Lorn and Machine Drum to name a few.

Om Units intensive work rate is plain to see with a slew of recent releases including 7” Lightgrids/Lavender (All City), The Timps (Civil Music) and The Corridor EP (Terrorhythm), the refix of Joker’s Digidesign (Hyperdub) and Stateless’ ‘Assassins’ (Ninja Tune), along with mixes for Pixelord, Take, Kidkanevil, and Naïve Machine. We suggest you keep a close eye and ear on all things Om Unit and Cosmic Bridge this year.
