Converse has announced the latest instalment in it’s series of global community projects designed to inspire the next generation through music, art, style and skate
Following a successful opening at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham last month, Cons Project London has so far boasted an impressive line up which saw Alex Synamatix of The Daily Street curate a talk on the topic of DIY Digital Media which featured Hyponik’s editor Josh Thomas. Hyperdub’s Scratcha DVA hosted a series of Mix Lab classes, which allowed promising young musicians invaluable access to respected mentors from the UK’s underground music scene.
Next Month’s highlights include Inspire|Create seminars curated by Alex Synamatix, these sessions include ‘Running a Record Label’, and ‘Creating the Visual Identity of Music’ brought to life by guest speakers including Alexander Nut of Eglo Records, Marcus Scott from Hyperdub and photographer Shaun Bloodworth.
A series of 3 day music production courses curated by Scratcha DVA will continue from 4th – 20th July with mentoring from some of the UK’s hottest producers including DaVinChe, DJ Q and Roska.
Tim & Barry from Just Jam will be hosting a music video workshop, where atendees can learn the process of making a music video first hand while shooting a live performance at the venue on Friday 11th July.
Other items on the programme include ‘Journey Through LDN Sounds’: a series of raves, screenings, talks – as well as exhibitions on social media and a unique skatepark area.
The project will be open until July 31st. The full calendar and ticket registration for all July events is available here.
