Citizen To Drop ‘Trax’ EP Via Love Fever

Preview Citizen’s second release for Love Fever.

It’s taken little over three years for Love Fever to accelerate from Dalston-based disco to well-respected record label. Hosting warehouses, art spaces and strip clubs, Love Fever have won over the crowds of East London and beyond. Manifesting itself upon the love of clubbing, house music and the paty that goes with, they continue to deliver fresh, vivacious house music. Having already released tunes by Bicep and A+A, Love Fever’s next release will come from a new star of the house scene, Citizen.

Relative newcomer Citizen, real name Laurence Blake, has been turning heads the last couple of years with releases on Templar, Naked Naked, Madtech and also Love Fever. His next EP for the label, ‘Trax’, begins with, ‘Worship + Tribute’, a classic house cut that revisits the 90’s traits of powerful vocals, pumping 4/4 beats, pianos and claps. Completely inoffensive – an all-round club winner. ‘Everything’ lends a distinctly garage vibe and, much like EP closer ‘Glastique’, encompasses ghostly vocals and reverbs to layer the warm and atmospheric melodies underneath.
