The Garage legend has specially record a track for the forthcoming free mixtape.
Often cited as an inspiration by Oneman, Todd Edwards has made an indelible mark on British dance music for the best part of two decades. For the third edition of the ‘Solitaire’ mix series, he was lucky enough to be able to call upon his hero to contribute – with the two meeting up at Red Bull Studios in LA to make the collaboration happen. The finished product – described by Edwards as his first “Garage” track in years, is ‘I’m Not Afraid’. Heavily featuring the producer’s trademark cut ups, its soulful bounce provides instant dancefloor nostalgia.
Edward’s track is the second original contribution to the mixtape to have been debuted recently, with Trim and Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth’s sullen ‘Difficulties’ dropping last week. These two cuts will be joined by more original contributions from Mumdance with RnB singer Tim Vocals, Swamp81 producer Mickey Pearce with Miami based rapper Denzel Curry and Amsterdam’s Tom Trago amongst others. Released via Oneman’s official website 29th September, ‘Solitaire Vol.3’ will also feature tracks from triple headed ATL rap group Migos, Texan Grime maestro Rabit, and Newham Generals’ D Double E.
