The co-founder of Raster-Noton will host his new installation in London this summer.
German musician and visual artist Carsten Nicolai will present the European premiere of his unicolour installation at The Vinyl Factory’s Brewer Street Car Park space in central London, starting tomorrow (24 June) until 2 August. It continues much of his overlapping work of audio and visuals in 2010’s univrs/uniscope version and 2012’s unidisplay and ‘will stretch panoramic wavelengths of blue, red, green and grey to infinity, confronting the viewer with a visceral expanse of colour and sound to test the limits of perception.’
The unicolour exhibition will also mark a year since the Brewer Street Car Park started hosting site-specific installations and will see Nicolai follow on from previous collaborator Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda, who amassed over 15,000 visitors last month with his supersymmetry installation at the same space.
Carsten Nicolai’s unicolor will run from 24th June to 2nd August at The Vinyl Factory’s space at Brewer Street Car Park , Brewer Street, London W1F 0LA. For more info visit the event page here.
