The last in the current run of Bloc events will be a free party headlined by Green Velvet.
Bloc‘s return to the UK club domain after the much publicised tribulations of last summer’s festival has been an undeniable success. The series of parties in their new home at Autumn Street Studios, Hackney Wick, has seen the likes of Model 500, Omar S, Marshall Jefferson and Egyptian Lover entertaining intimate and enthusiastic crowds throughout. As the current string of events draws to a close, the Bloc team have decided to give something back to the heads who stayed faithful, announcing that their final party of the series on Sunday May 26th will be free entry. Headlined by Chicago techno pioneer Green Velvet the night will also feature I-F, Jerome Hill, Noyeahno and Rubin. Making a statement on their Facebook page, Bloc organisers said:
“We’ve been humbled by the response to our comeback so far, and after the way these parties have gone we’re finally in a position to give something back. After last summer, we had wanted to hold a free party for everyone, so that’s what we’re going to do.”
Those wishing to attend should head to the Bloc website and register their name to be added to the free guestlist. For those unable to make it Bloc are hosting a penultimate party on Saturday May 25th featuring Surgeon, Scion and Tikiman.
