Bloc Weekend, one of the finest festivals on the electronic music calender, is set to move venues in 2012.
Having spent the past 3 years at Butlins, Minehead, and before that Pontins, Camber Sands, the festival (which celebrated its fifth birthday this March) is set to move onto pastures new. As they put it themselves: “Minehead could simply no longer handle so many visitors having such a good time at such a high octane, high volume event over a single weekend.”
The festival, which has seen the world’s finest electronic artists attend, from Aphex Twin-to-LFO-to-Digital Mystikz, is set to expand and re-boot for 2012, not only moving to a larger venue, but taking place later on in the year (presumably in the actual summer festival season).
Whether this means an outdoor venue we don’t yet know, but for now, you can find out more information over at the Bloc website.
