Bloc will be held on the 6 and 7 July 2012 at the London Pleasure Gardens.
Our favourite event of the year for the past five years, without fail, has been the mighty Bloc Weekend, and we can now reveal the new location for the UK’s premier electronic festival.
Moving to London’s PLeasure Gardens, the project is the “brainchild of the crew behind the late-night area of Glastonbury known as Shangri-La. Their vision was to create a multi-faceted space in the heart of Olympic London to facilitate the arts and culture happenings that have made London what it is.” Bloc will use a combination of custom-designed structures and stages to provide the monumental sound and light experience expected by the Bloc family – which basically means you’ll find all the usual Bloc atmosphere and technical wizardry still intact.
Pairing Bloc’s undisputed reputation for exceptional audio with Shangri-La’s innovative production values, along with a 6am license will make the sixth annual Bloc festival “like nothing the world has seen or heard before.” We cannot wait.
Check the promo video below, and you’ll find more information over at the official Bloc site.
