The popular radio show is set to throw a party in South London this Friday.
Since 1999, Tuesday nights have met one thing for thousands of avid followers of underground electronic music – Beats In Space. Broadcast on New York University’s WNYU and streamed online to listeners worldwide, the beloved show is one of the most respected sources of new music around, with a lot of that down to its venerable host Tim Sweeney. Manning the controls since his student days, the affable Sweeney has ensured BIS’ winning mix of relaxed and friendly chat with great music has never faltered – and he’s attracted a steady stream of the best DJ’s and producers around to appear on the show in the process.
Friday night finds Sweeney heading over to Corsica Studios and teaming up Tief to bring in the London leg of his radio show’s (and record label’s) celebrations, and predictably he’s bringing some talented friends along the ride. Backing him up in Room 1 are Studio Barnhus’ Axel Boman and BIS label signee Tornado Wallace – with both sure to keep things varied throughout. Room 2 meanwhile is comandeered by Hunee and Mr.Ties – who are set to deliver a tantalising back to back session all night, despite having apparently never met before. Certain to bring the good time vibes of the radio show to sweaty life, you’d be best advised to grab one of the final release tickets now before they sell out.
Tim Sweeney, Axel Boman, Hunnee, Mr Ties and more will be at Corsica Studios this Friday 26th September, buy final release tickets here.
