Beat ‘N’ Trail – From Dalston To Dimensions

Four Londoners are embarking on a 1000 mile charity bike ride to Dimensions Festival.

With the summer festival season underway many people will be organising their travel to the various parts of the UK and abroad for long weekends of music with mates. But four Londoners are taking a very different route to those heading to Dimensions Festival in Croatia. Departing from London on August 24th, the ‘Beat ‘N’ Trail‘ crew, aka Tom Morgan, Sarah Jones, James Skinner and Henry Worssam, will be cycling over 1000 miles and through seven countries before reaching their destination in Pula, Southern Croatia. The 14 day mission aims to raise £7,500 for two charities – the Steve Reid Foundation (set up by Gilles Peterson to commemorate the life of the jazz drummer and help people working in music who are in crisis or suffering from illness) and the Back Up Trust, which supports people who have suffered from spinal injuries.

Head to the Beat ‘N’ Trail website to find out more or make a donation. You can check the first of a series of BNT playlists here – a 10-track selection from Gilles Peterson himself.
