Originally released in 2001, ‘Labfunk’ is still one of the jewels in Derbyshire based producer Matin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson’s bulging discography. An essential fusion of Broken Beat, House and Jazz influences, the record saw Iveson collaborating with Jazz musician Peter Wright throughout – as well as a host of other musicians. Across 11 tracks, all at least 5 minutes long, ‘Labfunk’ consistently delivers a smooth and sunny listening experience that puts it perfectly in the middle of home and club.
